This is a simple card, but I do LOVE it!!!

Say it With Scallops

Supplies: Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip CS and ink, Bashful Blue striped ribbon, Scallop edge punch, scallop square punch, 1/4" square punch, Say It With Scallops stamp set, small circle punch

 

It rather hurts me to make such plain- I mean simple cards, but I am trying!!!

Supplies: CS- Baha Breeze, Whisper White.  Ink- Basic Black, Baha Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Pink Piourette, Chocolate Chip.  Stamp Set- Crazy for Cupcakes. Other- Baha Breeze ribbon, Blender Pens.

Supplies: So Saffron CS, Bashful Blue CS, Certainly Celery CS, Chocolate Chip CS, Chocolate wide grosgrain ribbon, Polka Dot Punches SAB Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip classic ink, Eyelet border punch, Full heart punch.  Wonderful Words stamp set- this is retired and my heart hurts when I have to say that- my ALL TIME FAVORITE STAMP SET-EVER!!!!  This is a CASE.

Trendy Trees ROCK!!!

 

So when I got the Spring/Summer 09 catalog, the one set I HAD to have was Trendy Trees.  I finally got a chance to play with it.  I made a fall-ish card and a spring-y card.  I did not use a Stampamijig- I have heard that you HAVE to with the set- well you don't HAVE to- but I bet it makes it a heck of a lot easier!!!

First card- colors- Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango.

Second card- Pink Piourette, So Saffron, Certainly Celery.

Take note those of you out there that *know* me- yes, that is MY thumbnail in the picture- it IS painted red- OPI "I'm not really a waitress" red.  I am a rather prissy person, but I am not the type to take the time to paint my nails- so look hard- you may not see this again!!!  And forget me going somewhere to have it done!!

BTW- if any of you are interested in my Spring Stamp-a-Stack- Tuesday March 16 at 9:30- one of these cards is being included!!!!!!

 

SPARKLE birds

   

 So I have been having fun with my So Tweet Chipboard and Pink Flamingo DSP.  And, let's not forget- Craft ink and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder!!! I was sparkly all weekend!!!

I am WAY WAY WAY behind on some birthday cards, so I made some "thinking of you" cards.  My step-sister's birthday was only March 1, so I am really not doing too bad on her card- in my own little world......  She is getting the birthday card- it's all pink and glittery- just like her!!!  My sister-in-law and aunt's birthdays were the 13th of February- I know- I suck!!!  They are getting the birds chirping "thinking of you" cards.  I just am loving this Pink Flamingo paper!!!  Plus the Clear Rhinestone Brads that SU has started selling- LOVE them!!!

 

Kids- cards and 3D glasses!

I am doing something this year, I have never done.  I am making the boy's Valentine's cards!!!  I don't make kid's cards- birthday, Halloween, Valentine's- whatever!!  I just don't do it- kid's just don't treat my hardwork approiately- haha!!!  But, I have not done anything for Ryan's class for the "day of love" and we have a Valentine's party next weekend that both boys need to take cards to swap.

Here is what I came up with- I had to stop myself- I wanted to do so much more to these cards.......  but they are for kids- so STOP!!!!

   

Here is what I decided to do- SweetTart holders!!!!  I cut my CS 3 x 11 1/2, scored at 4.  Folded over the top, used the slit punch about 1/2" from the bottom to make itclose.  On the top part, I will glue packages of SweetTarts.  The bottom, I, or Ryan,  will sign names to it.  I used the Happy Heart Day stamp set and markers to color it in.

Well, this is SuperBowl Sunday- the boys were waiting, not so patiently, for the 3D event at the end of the 3rd quarter.  Here are some pics with their nifty glasses on!!!!

I have a few more Raspberry Tart cards to share- the same basic idea, but different purposes.  BUT one I sent to my friend, Angela, for her birthday and if she wants to be surprised, then she shouldn't look at these cards!!!

   

 

 

 

The first card is Angela's birthday card.  I used Regal rose CS, Raspberry Tart DSP, the Regal Rose wide grosgrain with a strip of pink taffeta over it, the Scallop Border punch, Large Oval Punch, Sweet Stems stamp set, and A Little Birthday Cheer for the saying.

The second is a thank you note- the sentiment inside.  The bottom does use the Scallop Border punch- I'm not sure you can see it......  Large Oval punch with the Sweet Stems stamp set.

The third is another thank you note- I guess you knew that if you saw the "thank you" at the bottom!!!  This one was simple- the DSP, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Scallop Border punch (won't you be glad when I get the NEW Eyelet border punch???), the THANK YOU is from Upsy Daisy and I punched it out with the Word Window punch.

So come Sunday, I get to place my first order from this new catalog!!!!!  I wanted to wait so I could take advantage of Sale-a-bration!!!!  I had written my first order out, but have since changed it. I was looking at the supplies I have a lot of- CS and ribbon.  I decided to go with Good Friend stamp set, Good Morning Sunshine DSP, and the So Tweet On Board.  I have so much Summer Sun and Pacific Point CS- I need to use it up!!!!

NEW STUFF!!!

Ok- I got my new catalog finally and stopped pouting for long enough to actually MAKE some things!!  This will be quick post- there is a 3 year old who thinks I am on HIS computer!!!!  I opened up my package of Raspberry Tart DSP- pretty, pretty, pretty!!!!!  You can always click on the pictures to see details!!!

   

 

 

 

 

Card 1- A Little Somethin'- Level 2 Hostess set- each stamp goes with a punch!!!!!  Regal Rose CS for base, Rose Red CS for circle.  Rose Red ink, 1 3/4" circle punch, Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Raspberry Tart DSP.

Card 2- Sweet Stems Stamp Set, Kiwi Kiss CS for base, Large Oval Punch- there are 2 put together behind the white oval with the flowers, pink taffeta, scallop border punch, markers to color in flowers, and Raspberry Tart DSP.

I was creative today!!!

I did not say stamped- I was just creative- I got some "face" time in my craft room- boy did I need that!!! 

I love a good deal- ok ok ok- I am a sucker for a good deal!!!  I was online looking for plastic test tubes to make treats and the like.  I found my way to www.SKS-bottle.com.  They have the test tubes I was looking for.  Found out after I placed my order that they were on backorder.  But, I *think* they should be here by the 8th.  They also had the following tins-these are the 6 oz size.  They are really nice!!  The lid is easily removable, but just doesn't fall off.  And the clear piece is nice and thick.

 

I played with these today.  They come 36 to a case- yay me!!!
