Guilty pleasure

Wednesday night, the 15th, I went to see NKOTB- you know New Kids on the Block- in Denver.  I went with two friends- had a blast- we were 30 rows back!!!!!  I got pictures, they just weren't very good- it's hard to take pictures when you are busy dancing and singing and so is everyone else!!!  I saw them the day before I started 8th grade- they opened for Tiffany and no one knew who they were!!!

The whole group- I had a better shot.....can't find it....3 year having a temper tantrum not helping!!

 

Funniest story- Rich didn't want to tell the people he works with where I was going.  He said I had a "function" and he had to watch the boys.  2 days later he had a parking pass sitting on his desk for CFD.  One of the Col's asked him how he got one.  He explained that I was active in the spouses club and had been working some with them behind the scenes.  The Col. looked at him and said "Oh- in between going to see New Kids on the Block?"  Rich was shocked- he came home asking me how the Col knew- I have no idea- I don't know his wife or anything.  Rich's dirty little secret (his wife went to see NKOTB) has gotten out- hehehe

Cards for a Cause

Beginning this Sunday- April 19th, I will begin a Cards for a Cause group at the 1st UMC here in Cheyenne. It is a drop in type of thing.  I will be set up with cards to make from 4:30-7:30.  You can come for any of that time and make cards.  We will be donating the cards made to the church, Pointe Froniter home, and Cards for Heroes.  If you find that you are in need of a card for the following week- make one or 2 to keep!!!

There is childcare the entire time, a dinner at 5:30, chior/chimes/Spouts/Youth Group/Liturgical Dance/a Men's group/Adult Bible study all happening at some point during the evening- bring the whole family down!!

What do you need to bring?  You own adhesive and a $3 donation to cover the cost of materials- I will supply everything else.

WSC Basket Auction

Every year the WSC (Warren Spouses Club) here at FE Warren holds a basket auciton to fund it's scholarship program.  This is the "basket" I am donating.  It is a Stampin' Up! Sampler.  There is 47 of our exclusive colors of CS cut in half and ready for card making, 4 neutral colors (4 each), 5 types of envelopes (5 each), a prints pack, 2 stamp sets, metal edge tags, eggplant grosgrain, SNAIL, a Versamark pad, Clear buttons, and some stamp cleaner.  The bag I got from Mike's- I have the exact one and I LOVE it!!!

The Basket Auction is Saturday the 28th- I sure hope I make it through the weekend!!!

Excuses, excuses, excuses!!!

That's all I have for being MIA the last few days!!!

Excuse #1- for the board I am on, I have been helping design invites, thank you notes, etc for our HUGE fund raiser the end of Feb.  I have been cutting CS and folding it- all good and great things I love to do on a daily basis- really- it makes me happy.  Well, it has not been as fun as it normally is- not using Stampin' Up! CS- I have turned into such a paper snob......  long story as to why not..........

Excuse #2- Bryson goes to a daycare 8 hours a week now (YAY!!!).  So now, that I have a standard 8 hours a week "off"- am I stamping or creating- NO!!!  I am starting to help at Ryan's school.  That takes time.

Excuse #3- I don't have the new catalog in my hot little hands and I'm pouting.  I do, however, have BRAND spaking NEW items in my possession from a demo pre-order.  But I'm pouting.

Excuse #4- new glasses.  I got new glasses from Christmas.  They came in today.  They have been making me a bit "sea sick"......  Now I have worn glasses for 27ish years.  New glasses always get me!!  I am working on them thought- just have to get through the rough patch!!!

I am a real Stampin' Up! demo- really!!!

So with the move to Cheyenne last year about this time and my husband's deployment this summer and then the holidays- I have been a sorry excuse for a Stampin' Up! demo!!!  There is a BRAND NEW catalog coming out on Jan 19- have I posted a retiring stamp list- NO!!!  Now today, the retiring accessories are out!!

What does the New Year hold??

Have you made any goals for the New Year- I made a few.

1- Get into better shape.  Not really lose weight- just move it around abit!

2- Keep the house in better "drop-in" condition- you know, when someone drops by and you stand in the doorway with your knee behind the door so they won't try to come in??? I want them to come in!!!

3- Cut back on the Dr. Pepper consumption.....this will be the HARDEST!!  Hey- it could be beer!!!

4- Do more with my Stampin' Up! business.  This leads me to the rest of the post!!!

For 2009, there are some GREAT things happening with Stampin' Up!!! 

1- The new 2009 Spring/Summer catalog will be ready to order from 19 Jan!!

2- Sale-a-bration is 1 Feb- 31 March- the "free" things you can order are AWESOME!!  There are 3 sets, a ribbon bundle, and some designer paper to choose from!!!  For every $50 you order- you can choose one of them!!!

3- Phase 3 of the Decor Elements will be out on 19 Jan!!  I just saw them and OMG!!!!!!  I am SPEECHLESS!!!!  Seriously.......SPEECHLESS!

Now- let me mention some great things that are happening Wanda's World of Stampin' Up!!!  CLASSES!!! 

I have been planning some GREAT things coming this spring!!!  More details, pictures and pricing will be forthcoming!!!  Each class will have a "take home" option- meaning for a set price for that class- you can take the class home all completed for you, by me!!!  If you are not local- you would just have to add shipping!

For starters- the end of January- I plan on having "Valentine's a la carte"- I will have 3 options consisting of a candy card and a 3x3 card each.  You can tell me how many of each you want to make!  There will also be a teacher option as well!!  This way you can make Valentine's for an entire class, group, pack- whatever!!!  This will be a great class to do with your kid(s)- not too young though!!!

Also, in January- I will begin my RECIPE PAGE classes.  Each month we will do 4 pages that will fit perfectly on a recipe stand.  The recipe stands are at www.bingamanwoodcrafts.com.  An original is included in the first class, but you can upgrade to a deluxe. 

In February, I plan on having an All Occasion Stamp a Stack. In March, I plan on having a SAB technique card class.  We will do 5 cards that each have a different technique on them all using a SAB incentive.  This class with be a fee class or FREE if you earn a SAB incentive from me sometime during SAB!!!!

Happy 2009!!!!

Happy 2009 to all of you out there in cyber world!!  I took a week or 2 off for Christmas and I am trying to claw my way back to reality!!! 

My mother-in-law was able to fly out for PA to spend Christmas with us for the first time, it was nice to have her.  My baby turned 3 (ACK!!) on the 29th- that entailed a day at Red Robin's (he LOVES that place!!), Chuck E Cheese's, and a jumpy place- he had a GREAT time!!  Also, my hubby talked me into getting a Wii for the family for Christmas.  I was like "but we have a Playstation 2, why do we need another thing?!"  Yeah- the Wii has taken up most of my stamping free time- it totally ROCKS!!!

So have I had ANY time to stamp......um NO!!!  But I am going to get better with updating my blog this year- not so many holes!  Santa did bring me a new camera and it's NICE- a complete surprise to me!!!!
