Holiday Decor Elements

Stampin' Up's! line of vinyl deccor is amazing!!!  If you haven't checked it out, you should!!  I made some gifts this Holiday season using Decor Elements- they aren't just for your walls!!

I used the small "eat" decor element in chocolate, red, and olive.  I found these amazinf trays at my local Target on clearance for $1.98 each- I am so not kidding!!!  I added some matching ribbon and Volia- a perfect little gift!!!

Excuse the crumbs.....  I was able to earn the Decor elements snowflakes from the SU Holiday Extravganza.  I got a whole sheet of pretty white snowflakes.  I found this pretty red melamine plate at Wal-Mart- so striking in person!!!  This is the late we used to leave Santa some cookies- AND HE ATE THEM!!!!

So the lesson of the day is that Decor Elements aren't just for your walls!!!

HALLOWEEN HOOP-LA Day 2

This is an orange plate I found at the "Bull's Eye" store......  It was really quite cheap!!!  It is made of Melamine.  I put on a Decor Element Spooky Expression- you get 3 for $4.95!!  I think I might make the boy's teachers pumpkin muffins this year and put them on this plate.....  I still have 2 more faces to play with!!!

Here is the plate with my little model, Bryson!  It's a dinner plate, so it is a good size.  He was so excited when I put all my Halloween decor out one night when he was in bed!  He had to wake me up to show me everything!!!!

Pumpkin Muffins

1 small can of pumpkin

1 box Spice Cake

Mix together.  Bake for 10-15 minutes.  YUMMY!!!

HALLOWEEN HOOP-LA Day 1

This is the Spooky Brocade Decor Element.  This is the Pumpkin Pie, small one.  It also comes in a larger size and in Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Old Olive.  I added the Pumpkin Pie large striped bow at the top.  The container came from Wally World last year. 

On the other side is the Spooky Spider Decor Element.  It comes in 3 sizes, I think this is the medium one.  I bought it last year after convention.  There was a presentation that had this exact jar, so I CASE'd it!!  I love how this year I can place the jar anywhere and it's pretty from both sides!!

I had candy in it last year......but there were too many close calls with my oldest "sneaking" candy!!  I could hear everytime he went near the jar!!  But, I was afraid the lid would get broken!!

My sunroom

This is the back wall of my sunroon.  It's right off the back deck.  It's an awesome room- playdough area and when it snows (I mean we are in WY!!), the boys can just drop everything wet and nasty and leave it on the tile!!!  It was painted this color when we moved in with the white accents.  I thought this white Decor Element would be AWESOME in there- it really looks great!!!  So, honey, another surprise for you when you come home!!!  Do you see the stained glass?  When I got married, I was teaching at a middle school in eastern NC with some of the best people EVER.  One of my teacher friends made this for me- talk about talent!!!  This is the 3 move for it, so far it has survived the moves and the boys- here's hoping!!!

This is a picture of my living room.  I ordered the Chocolate Chip Family Decor Element this summer.  After A LOT of tweaking, I arranged family pictures around it.  I still look at it and think there is something that can be moved or something.  Sorry about the quality of the picture- I swear I wasnt drinking when I took the picture- it just looks like it!!  So Rich, (my husband who hasn't been home for a few months to see this) SURPRISE!!!  It's really cool!!

Showcasing!!

In my kitchen, where I serve food for my classes, I have been putting these 2 things there.  One is a dry erase board using Inspired by Nature- My fabulous downline, Amy, gave me this idea!!!  The other is a HUGE jar of candy with a Decor Elelment from phase 2, coming out in October!  They showed this exact same jar at convention- I knew I HAD to have one- I LOVE Halloween!!!  If I need to go elsewhere, then I'll just take these 2 items with me to show!!  LOVE IT!!!

Decor Elements- vase

Stampin' Up! has come up with a NEW PRODUCT LINE- Decor Elements!!!  These are vinyl rubons for walls and just about anything that doesn't move!  They are so easy to apply!  I ordered the Lollipop Flowers and adhered them to this vase I got at Wal-Mart.  I added some fun rocks and BAM!! I have a great gift!  I use the vase to take with me to show off the DE- I made a sign to put in the vase.  I keep it near my DE brochures and a picture album I have of different DEs being used.  I did a swap at convention for these photos- they rock!!
